Hotel Facilities
The hotel has had extensive refurbishment and upgrading recently so it is now an excellent good quality hotel. (11/07rt) The hotel is a modern, low rise building painted in a pale yellow colour with attractive gardens at the front. The hotel is situated within walking distance of the main terminal building at Shannon airport, a great gateway for Ennis, Newmarket On Fergus and Limerick. |

The room was on the ground floor, and uncomfortably hot. We requested a fan; however, none was available. We left the window wide open until we went to bed and had to lock it. The manager was very helpful. The hotel is very conviently located at Shannon Airport. It took us ten minutes to unload our luggage at departures, return the rental car, and get back to the terminal. |

The Great Southern Hotel was very convenient to Shannon Airport. It enabled us to turn our rental car in the day before and not have to worry about driving to or going through returning the car the morning of our flight. The hotel staff was friendly and accomodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable. A nice touch were the monitors which kept you up to date on your flight status. The bar staff was great fun, guess where we ate dinner!We were able to enjoy a full breakfast before we walked to |
