The Skylane Hotel has a convenient location near Gatwick Airport and provides a shuttle service to and from the airport. They accomodate late arrivals with a shuttle ride and friendly host. The room was warm with no air conditioning, and the mattress was pretty dirty, but with clean sheets. The room was clean, overall. |

The building, furniture in the room and carpet are pretty old but overall the room is kept quite clean, especially the bathroom, toilet, bathtub and basin are old but kept very clean, soft and very white towels provided. We are quite happy with our stay at this hotel. However we find that there is nothing around the hotel that we can do a little shopping, all we found were some gas stations on a busy street. The Skylane is a reasonable place to stay when you are flying in or out of Gatwick. Good, free shuttle service between 6 am and 11 pm. Five pounds at other times. |

Was a good place to stay at LGW, had free airport shuttle. Staff was good and helpful - they hotel will be going through a remodel this in 2007. We would return to this hotel |

We had rail passes and came from Edinburgh on a Saturday for a flight back to the USA on Sunday. We needed transportation to the hotel on Saturday and back to the airport on Sunday. This hotel did a fine job with everything, from transportation to checking in and out. The room was clean and comfortable and the food was good. We had a full English breakfast with the price of the room. I would definitly stay here again. |
