The place was clean enough. It was old. The room was ice cold when I went in. I was simply average at best.

The front desk was very friendly but the facility was older and just average. Nothing exciting . But you get what you pay for. Maybe a little less. It served its purpose , was clean but old.

The Travelodge is ideal for the person who has an agenda for thier trip. It was very comfortable with a low price and a pleasent staff. There is no bar or pool so there is little to do while staying at there. It is a short trip from the down town Des Moines area and is surrounded by places to eat. The room was tidy and comfortable with plenty of space to spread out a bit. I would recommend this hotel for people who simply need a place to sleep during a busy trip. The price is the main

This was the poorest Travellodge we ever stayed at. The first thing we noticed was that the bathroom floor was sticky. They were very quick to rince it. The later when we turned down the sheets we found stains on the sheets. They appeared to be clean but had an old grease stain on the left side. Whe using taking a shower the soap dish came partly out of the wall. Several time over the six days the air conditioner turned itself off. We had to turn it back on.
