The Long Bay Beach Resort property was beautiful and directly on the Carribean. The main building, reception area, front desk, gift shop, dining room and lounge were very colorful, well-maintained and attractive - fresh flowers,etc. The dining room was multi-level, linen table clothes and fresh flowers were on the tables every evening. Long Bay Beach Resort is the best option on Tortolla for a resort vacation. One must be patient, and as I am a bit spoiled when coming to travel, the hotel was not up to par with my expectations. The hotel is located at a beautiful part of the island, beautiful beach, within walking distance of another beautiful beach. The villa far exceeded my expectations. It was large and comfortable with a beautiful view. The only draw back was the steep climb to the hillside. The food at the 1748 Beach Cafe was so so. The food at the Palm Terrace was excellent. I can not say enough about the staff. They were all very friendly and eager to help make dining reservations, travel arrangements, etc. We arrived on the last flight in and the restaraunts were closed, so the staff met us with punch, sandwiches and fruit.
