This place is DIRTY!!!!! The whole hotel smells like smoke as there are ash trays everywhere. The location is in the worst section of Memphis. The hotel staff may have been nice but nothing special. Overall we checked in looked at our room and checked right out after looking at how dirty and discussing the bathroom was. I only blame myself for this. I know you get what you pay for these days and I now know why they were the cheapest.

Motel 78 in Memphis Tn, was roach INFESTED! The towelS in our room were dirty. They should of been white but the face towel was brown, used and worn. It was very hard to understand the front desk people because they did not speak English very well. When I sprayed the restroom down with cleaning agents stains came off of the toilet. The Motel was not located in a good spot close to restuarants. We had to drive some ways to reach a decent area with decent amenities.

ALTHOUGH THE PRICE WAS QUITE REASONABLE,THE AMBIANCE AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS WERE REALLY BAD. IT GOT WORSE WHEN WE ENTERED OUR ROOMS. OLD FURNITURE, DINGY LOOKING BED SHEETS IN ONE ROOM AND CIGARETTE BURN WHOLES IN THE OTHER. TY DID NOT FUCTION IN ONE ROOM AND THE REFRIGERATOR ALSO DID NOT FUNCTION IN THE OTHER. THE BATHROOMS HAD ONLY THE MINIMUM OF TOWELS AND THE HOUSEKEEPING IN THE MORNING CONSISTED OF A KNOCK ON THE DOOR TO SEE IF CLEAN TOWELS WERE NEEDED. OUR BEDS WERE NEVER MADE IN THE T

This hotel is a dump. Dirty towels in room. Room dirty. Rooms rented by week and month some unsavory people there. Next to a strip joint.

The hotel is very old and run-down. It had two elevators--one of which never works and the other worked only part time. I had to use the stairs twice==after waiting about 5 minutes each time. I would never stay at this place again.

The Airport 78 Motel is a large motel that is sort of run down and in a rough area, but it was a good value for the money and we had no bad experience. The staff was personable and our room was clean and comfortable. There was a very large, well attended music festival in Memphis last weekend and we were happy to be able to book this motel.
