FIRST I HAD TO TAKE MY OWN LUGGAGE TWO BLOCKS DOWN THE STREET TO THE HOTEL MYSELF! THE ONLY PERSON TO SPEAK ENGLISH WAS THE RECEPTIONIST. THE ROOM WAS AVERAGE FOR A HOTEL BUT THE WINDOWS OPENED ONTO THE SIDE OF THE NEXT DOOR BUILDING. THE BATHROOM WAS POORLY MAINTAINED. THE TOLIET SEAT KEPT SLIDING WHEN SAT ON, THE WATER IN THE SHOWER WAS BEARLY WARM, SOAP DISH WAS BROKEN, THE TUBE WAS GRUNGY. I PUT A CHAIR UNDER THE DOOR KNOB BEFORE I WENT TO BED. PEOPLE BANGING ON THE DOOR NEXT DOOR AND YELLIN

Rates were resonable however the hotel was run down and outdated. It could use some paint and new carpet. The windows were very old. The room was large and the bed was comfy. Next time, I think I will spend a little more to get a more updated room. The elevator broke down while we were there and we were scared to use it again. It was very outdated.

The Ocean Surf Hotel is not fancy but the rooms are clean and the Hotel is directly across the street from the ocean. The staff was courteous and helpful. This is a no frills type of hotel but not at all disappointing. This is not South Beach but if you are looking for a more low key Miami experience this is the place

I was not expecting the best but honestly,we had a very good time.Especial mention for the front desk help,who was an excellent host.
