  Excellent location

We liked being away from the busy city center - so the somewhat removed location was perfect for us. The room was quiet and clean, although small. The beds were very comfortable, and we had no complaints at all.

Great as a homebase hotel, to quickly come back and go right back out.

The staff was GREAT. We got there very late at night due to our flight and ride from the airport to Reykjavik and the two men at the desk were super nice and very informative about the city. The same goes for everyone during the day and were helpful in picking day tours and places to go at night.

  Clean & Friendly

The Cabin Hotel was basic, clean and friendly. The Beds were actually COT sized rather than twin, and the pillow was the tiny travel size. The room was the size of a train compartment and we had to take turns moving around it while the other sat on their cot. I wish that I could say better things, because the staff was great. They were as helpful as any place that we have stayed.

  My review of Cabin

Like many European hotels, the rooms at Cabin are very small, but we were in it very little, The beds are comfortable. The complimentary breakfast buffet was great and we also purchased the evening buffet twice. It was a great bargain. The hotel is a bit away from the "City Center" but is only about a 15-20 minute walk to it. Since the hotel is right across from the ocean, the view is beautiful along with the walk on the pedestrian path along the ocean into town. We were only 4 blocks from the l
