I was willing to pay the neccessary cab fare from the airport ($40). There is no casino. The only thing within walking distance was a Waffle House. It was not somewhere I, a woman alone, would have chosen to be at 1 AM There was no refrigerator or microwave. As a tea drinker a coffee maker does not cut it. I requested a smoking room. Overall, the room was "OK" for the money. but not a deal at all. The water in the shower surged both in pressure and temperature. The variance in temperature is a hazard especially for small children in that it went from confortable to frigid to scalding in a matter of seconds.

The hotel was a typical motor lodge in about the shape you would expect for an economy rate. Not very clean, but not awful either.

We wanted a location that would be in between Savannah and Hilton Head. This worked well for a first visit to this area. I would have liked a better variety of restaurants in the area. The staff, however, was very pleasant. We have no complaints about our stay. We would have appreciated a small refrigerator in our room, but we should have checked that out when we made the reservation.
