Our room was right up against the kitchen with constant clammering of pots and pans in the early morning and evening; Secondly, the room could not have been any smaller or older! One bed, 2 chairs, small dresser, windows that did not stay open and kept sliding down, old smelly curtains, stains on the rug, and finally a 100 year old furnace with chipping paint all over the rug. The Beresford Hotel was in a prime location in downtown San Francisco Union Square neighborhood. It was convenient to walk to nearby attractions, but parking was minimal and the rooms were really small and the walls too thin. We could hear our neighbors the entire time we were in our rooms. The double rooms only came with twin beds, versus full or queens in most other hotels. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to guests due to the size of the room.

The Beresford Hotel was not too cozy. The room was tiny with TWO tiny little twin size beds that we barely fit on. Our room had NO A/C, and it stunk like it had not been cleaned. Our stay was just not very pleasant. Literally, our room was the size of a closet, and we could barely stand in the bathroom. The location was farely decent...right near the shopping and sights; as well as the Trolly.

This is an inexpensive hotel that offers a clean room to stay in a convenient location. The room and bathroom were small but well kept. I recommend.

I was very happy staying in the hotel, it was fun, and also right in downtown, the hotel looks like an old hotel, but it is really well maintained, and adds to the city style. it is not a huge hotel, but it gives it the more familiar feeling, so I liked it, I would recommend it to friends and family, it was not too expensive either, and have breakfast incl.

Rooms are small, hotel is quaint. Great location, safe neighborhood, quiet at night. I would recommend this hotel for those on a budget looking for a decent no frills place to stay while in the heart of the city.
